Re: Arch Axis tool on a new document

Hi. It does not work for me. I tested this in two computers and the result is similar. Full name as FreeCAD_0.16.6408_x64_dev_bin: Arch workbench activated Running the Python command 'Arch_Axis' failed: Traceback (most recent call last): File "F:\Respaldos_SIAL_workstation\Programs\FreeCAD_0.16.6408...

Re: Arch Axis tool on a new document

Thanks! There are two errors there. The first one is very strange: File "C:\Daten\FreeCAD_0.16.6397_x64_dev_bin\Mod\Arch\ArchAxis.py", line 141, in __init__ vobj.Proxy = self Base.FreeCADError: Unknown C++ exception 99% of the python objects do that and there is never a problem... Just a small idea...

Re: Arch Axis tool on a new document

I cannot reproduce the problem... Are you sure the axes are not there, simply out of your current view? (Try zoomig out a bit, or right-click -> fit selection). Maybe what we need is better default settings.. About editing the values in the data tab, indeed. I hadn't even noticed that float lists w...

Arch Axis tool on a new document

Hi. Just I notice when I run FreeCAD and after you open Arch workbench and creating a first empty document, then I click on Arch Axis tool (as first action), the axis is not visible and it has not either axes or values. Only after you draw something in the document you can create an arch axis that i...

Re: DWire edition when is base of a structure

I'm very glad you are not abandoning freecad bitacovir! ;) There is a problem in that wire, that after editing it, even if I take care of setting the working plane correctly, it is not plane anymore, and therefore it doesn't create a face, and the structure object doesn't update anymore. I'm not re...

DWire edition when is base of a structure

Hi. I have a problem when I want to edit a DWire which is base of a structure. I draw a DWire to create a Slab with the Structure command. But if I want to edit the Dwire, this loses its surface and the slab is not updated any more. In adition, the Dwire can not be used to create a new slab. I am sh...

Re: Using Arch SectionPlane on imported Iges format geometry

I take it that you exported the hinge to iges from FreeCAD? If so make sure Enable B-REP mode is checked in preferences before exporting. Edit > Preferences > Import/Export > iges tab and check the box. To import the .FCstd file directly use File > Merge Project... Thanks sgrogan. That was the prob...

Using Arch SectionPlane on imported Iges format geometry

I imported a geometry (hinge) with iges format into a project where I am working. I did it as iges format because I do not know hot to import FCStd files into another project. My problem is when I use Arch SectionPlane, I can not create a Draft Shape2DView of the iges format object. OS: Windows 7 Wo...

Re: visualarq

When we come close to this we will absolutely have a winner :) It is however IMO now more about the user experience instead of adding more tools. Over time we will of course want more tools for all the different things we want to do, but we should not ignore for example the cat how simple it is to ...

Re: workflow with snap reference

Hello, try clicking ctrl while making snap. this changes the snap position Renato Hi Renato. I did how you suggest. It is better. I tested with the CTH profile: Without ctrl: 2016-01-26 14_34_43-FreeCAD.png With ctrl: 2016-01-26 14_38_04-FreeCAD.png Without ctrl: 2016-01-26 14_40_49-FreeCAD.png Wit...
