Re: Feature Request: guidelines in TechDraw

LAWS OF UX

Re: Automatic Light Gauge Steel Frame Creator macro

 These little screws in the diagonals should resist the whole structure in an chilenian earthquake  :o Jejeje. It's totally tested technology. 8-) https://earthquaketrack.com/p/chile/recent 8-) The video explains that you can omit these diagonals if you cover the structure with someth...

Actually for seismic we need to incorporate diagonals, but, who in his right mind tries to use light gauge as a shear wall? that does not make a lot of sense to me, but putting those diagonals by hand is very easy right now! Oh, sure you can use it in a seismic country if you ma...

Re: Automatic Light Gauge Steel Frame Creator macro

Thanks for pointing that out, and taking the time to make a drawing . it seems to me that if you place a beam all along the top of the assembly then the one on top of the window opening is not needed, it is redundant. I am basing the design on the attached paper: Anyways, I will fix the double stud...

Re: Splash screen competition for 0.17 release

Let's do a small competition for a new splash screen for the "official" 0.17 release? I would say, anything works, no need to be done with FreeCAD, but of course if it's done with FreeCAD it's better ;) Here are a couple of first tries I did... A bit too Arch-centered of course, I'll submit more la...
