Re: Sketcher: Bezier curves
Abdullah, thank you so much. The Bspline tool is really great. Thanks! Nice to see it works well!! I realized that I can even add a curvature plot on it and see the curvature flow updated WHILE editing the sketch ! Hey, that is beautiful. I must ask. How did you do the curvature plot? I am interest...

Re: Sketcher: Bezier curves
Just a quick note on tangency constraints not being supported yet. It's not relevant to the technical discussion, but it might be useful to other users. It is actually pretty easy to ensure tangency condition between a line or an arc and a B-Spline. End-Point tangency is indeed supported. Just sele...

Re: Sketcher: Bezier curves
Lately I have been struggling to make the geometry information layer as I have no meaningful knowledge about Inventor. I have come to this: bspline_geoinfolayer.png So basically the Geometry info layer (group node) is a layer that is painted under the geometry to give information about the geometry....

Re: Werner passes 7000 posts and other fascinating maths! :-)
Congrats Werner, if there was a way to see how many of those commits are yours, I guess your personal score would be pretty close to that :) https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/graphs/contributors I would bet those are only part of them... See my commits, now extrapolate my years in the project to h...

Re: Sketcher: Bezier curves
Attempting to reproduce my acoustic guitar body outline with a B-Spline using only 5 poles (think an "M" polyline) and varying their individual weight... So close!!! :D I'm going to have fun with your B-Splines abdullah! :D I have really liked it. Thanks for sharing it!! Isn't FreeCAD all...

Re: Sketcher: Bezier curves
Abdullah how about if you focus more on implementing features you plan to add first and lets worry about hiding/showing geometry after? As for weight control i for one am happy you added this feature! And i don't feel anybody comprehends ATM what needs to be done and what makes the most sense. Read...

Re: Sketcher: Bezier curves
Very nice "torso bspline approximation"!!microelly2 wrote:It's already a very handy feature
I convert my iso-curves to sketcher bsplines and can modify the surface intuitive and easily.
