Re: Featrure Request: Extend equality restriction in the sketcher.

We would have to find a new icon then, which may be the biggest effort As this in fact it would be a proportionality restriction, the hardest problem would be solved just using the appropriate proportionality symbol... :) For usability it could be convenient... I think that the question of usabilit...

And of course it would no longer be an equality constraint would it? :D
Nope.
Equality restriction would be a special case of this "proportionality" restriction, when f be set to 1.

Re: Featrure Request: Extend equality restriction in the sketcher.

Yes, it may be slightly well the word "slightly" has a strong load of subjectivity :) ...you still would have to add which one gets the factor 1 and which one gets the other... (as I said in the first message, select La then Lb (in this order) to set La = f Lb )The order of selection would determin...

Re: Featrure Request: Extend equality restriction in the sketcher.

It is already possible, as long as you do not make circular dependencies: Yes, this way you get what I am requesting. Another way of doing the same thing would be by using a spreadsheet. BTW, the way I prefer. IMHO, Expanding the equality restriction the way I request, restriction would be quicker ...

Re: Sketcher tutorial

Would you mind to send me your LaTeX source? JFYI, I translated in French using OmegaT software. This is a CAT software that basically parses the original LateX and exposes to user only the translatable segments. Honestly parsing is not perfect, but this is the best FOSS CAT I found. ;) Edit : amon...

Re: Sketcher tutorial

openBrain has created a French translation, I will do the German. You are welcome to do it in Spanish. The source is a LaTeX document, and I would appreciate it, if you could do it in LaTeX as well, That would make it easyer to synchronize the different languages, e.g. when I have to change the ima...

Re: Sketcher tutorial new version is now Sketcher Lecture

Dear Friends of FreeCAD, I finally did it. I have uploaded a new version of the formerly called Sketcher tutorial. I have renamed it to the more appropriate title "A Sketcher Lecture" but it is basically the same contents. But only basically: I have updated quite some details to 0.19 and I have inc...

Re: Support for Writing in English

Good! I would want know your opinion about the following text: ( :D ) A Plan for the Improvement of Spelling in the English Language By Mark Twain For example, in Year 1 that useless letter “c” would be dropped to be replased either by “k” or “s”, and likewise “x” would no longer be part of the alph...

Re: Sketcher tutorial

P.S.; Yesterday I read about your English language skills. Please do not hesitate in correcting my messages. However, if you accept my offer, I predict a titanic job. :) Actually, I am in the middle of writing an intro to helping with English in the Open Discussion sub-forum. You would definitely b...
