Re: Feature Request: Standing out icons.

Don't you think that if both kind of marks are implemented: A mark on the icon of the modified objects: for a "global" inspection of the project and A change in (for example) boldface type of the name of modified property parameter: for a detailed inspection would help a lot in maintaining the proje...

Feature Request: Freezing objects in a project.

Suppose a project consisting on several objects. Suppose the user consider that some of them will not be modified in the near future and he/she works on the rest of the objects. How hard would be to implement a freezing on the former objects for the system(/solver/FreeCAD) to use CPU time just on th...

Feature Request: Standing out icons.

Each time an object (body, part,...) is created, its parameters (position, offsets, ...) have default values and, depending on the project, some of them could be modified by the user. Don't you think it could be very helpful for the user to maintain their projects that in the model view the icons of...

Re: Feature Request: Use of expression in Animate Assembly

I don't know whether it would be useful but it would be very difficult to implement (meaning: I don't know how to implement such a thing). Ok :( BTW, was talking about that little E xpression Engine icon that can used for assigning referenced values to variables. PS: In the message, I have used bol...

Re: Feature Request: Assembly4 extend animation modes

4) Pause/play combination for that, I'd change the "Stop" button to "Pause", and when hitting "Run" it continues where it had left. With 2 additional buttons for step-by-step ... yes, that's cool Another 2 items that could be added to the list would be the following: 5. A variable monitor (...displ...

Re: Feature Request: Assembly4 extend animation modes

Cyclic animation, Forward and reverse, Step by step (in both senses) and Pause/play combination 1) and 2) exist already: all you need to do is add an intermediate variable that you calculate with a sinus or cosinus (suppose "t" the variable that you move between 0 and 720, and "d" the variable that...

Feature Request: Assembly4 extend animation modes

Good morning.
In Assembly4 WB -> Animate Assembly.
Could it be very hard to implement the following animation modes:
  1. Cyclic animation,
  2. Forward and reverse,
  3. Step by step (in both senses) and
  4. Pause/play combination
?

Feature Request: Use of Expression Engine in Animate Assembly

Good morning. In Assembly4 WB, after clicking Animate Assembly icon, Don't you think it could be useful to add the capability of adding E xpression Engine to the fields (Range Begin, Range End, Step and Sleep(s)) appearing in the corresponding dialog? PS: In the message, I have used boldface style f...

Re: Discussion: Strategy for introducing FreeCAD as a first CAD/CAE/CAM software.

Just uploaded a tutorial in two parts explaining with a simple example the use of a spreadsheet in FreeCAD, by contrasting two ways of doing the same work: One without using spreadsheet and the other using it. The videos are in spanish :) Comments are welcome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LP-TSvC...

Re: Discussion: An strategy for introducing FreeCAD as a first CAD/CAE/CAM software.

... something you physically have so they can look at it and try to model. I think this is a excellent idea, I guess It would cause the nice impact of contrasting (parts of) the virtual and tangible world Then come up with an example of a part that would need different configurations and dependant ...
