Re: 3D Surface - Face Selection (New feature)

Hi Russel, One problem with version 9d might be improper model handling since there are multiple models in your Job. This will be something I will check later. Just as little hint: There are also problems with other OPs if multiple models are in one Job. E.g. if i try to get a path for pockets (same...

Re: Spiral pattern - for what?

Looks to me like a bug. Yes... But it seams not to be at round pockets (i cut a few last week, using spiral pattern), where it works like expected. Both pathes are made with the same step over. spiral.jpg Edit: But also Offset has a problem with rectangular pockets...Pic is at 100% step over, is it...

Re: How to mill a little step inside a pocket?

Hi, The trick is the first profile operation; that's the one going close to the edge. You can switch the display of the single operations off and on, after hiding the complete job: Yes, but the second step is? (How to mill the platform so the milling bit cuts close to the edge?) If you are working i...

Re: Gcode export very slow

After reading this post https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=43323 thinking about my (milling) work of the last day and checking with the last AppImage: Adaptive slows down the export to gcode so much. Like at the post described, for a single hole (diameter 20mm , depth 40mm step over 7...

Re: FreeCad ist überlastet

Hi, ich würde da gar nicht alle Steine zeichnen sondern nur den ersten Stein. Damit den Fräspfad erzeugen und diesen per Path Array vervielfältigen. So in etwa: path_array.jpg Path Array benötigt wesentlich weniger Rechenleistung. Das Problem ist (wenn ich's richtig in Erinnerung habe) auch nicht da...

Re: Gcode export very slow

why this should be a QT thing, if one FC works fast and an other slow? Both FC versions at the same machine of course. Please add both FreeCAD infos. The slow OS: openSUSE Leap 15.1 (KDE//usr/share/xsessions/plasma5) Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.19.19443 (Git) App...

Re: Path Pocket - wrong Final Depth at export to gcode

Good morning Russel, Please forgive my erraticly odd comments in this thread. I finally realized I was misunderstanding the problem presented, and consequently lead me in the wrong direction. No worries, I have had a great FreeCAD code structure and purpose lesson. I learned a lot! Now that I unders...
