Re: Feed- and Speedrate

Hi Chris, I am tempted to say that FreeCAD is a design tool so we design only If you see only the CAD part of FreeCAD, then you are right, but since FreeCAD includes a FEM and a CAM module its more than only tool for designing parts. the post processor should take care of machine dependent efficienc...

Re: Feed- and Speedrate

Good Morning, or should that be path 'c' it should be path "c"... sorry, (i changed the pic) I would guess that you're using the job like we discussed earlier -- as an aggregation of paths for cutting many parts from one sheet 'Hm.. I see the Job on top with the attribute "machine". I like the idea ...

Re: Feed- and Speedrate

Hi Sliptonic, hi mlampert, one post before i said "or me not very logical" to the way to set feed and speedrate. The logical way would be for me, if the steps i have to go in path WB are nearly the same like the steps i have to go if i work on a mill without CNC support. In my mind the best (and onl...

Re: Test suite for Path Workbench

Good morning sliptonic, i read you post several times now, and a lot you sayd is so "of course", that i fore some points not realy understand what you want to explain. In my mind CAE is the "whole thing" and CAD, FEM and CAM are parts of it, and each part is the specialist for what it should do. But...

Re: the new path workflow, my first impresions

Hi, one question to the entry theme: In this moment "Contour" and "Surface" only works with the part selected in "Job", all other operations works with each part i have on my machinetable. Do you think about to change the workflow of this other operations that they work also only with the in Job sel...

Re: Feed- and Speedrate

Hi, ah, - that i have to ad a additional tooltable if i want to use a different tool for a path i didn't figure out.... For me not very logical, I think i suggestet in an other thread before: The way "a machine has one tooltable from which i can select the tool to use for each path" will be more eas...

Feed- and Speedrate

Hi, let me show an other suggstion...: In this time feed- and speedrate are boundet at the tooltable (means: each tool uses the same feed and speed). From a technical perspective is this wrong. Iff you drill a hole you need an other spindle speed as with an end mill. If you use a 15mm drill you can ...

Re: Test suite for Path Workbench

Hi, some automatet testings could not be bad to find bugs in programming work, like mlampert (Markus?) said. My skills in programming are, maybe level -2 (ore something like that), and i'm very happy for each automatet improving (for my little arduino sketches) i can get... In my mind one "problem" ...
