Re: CalculiX ccx survey - help needed

Hi, I'm runniing Freecad and ccx on my Windows 7 (64 bits) machine. I disagree with you, CCXis almost a first world citizen, the unciviliced guy is his friend CGX    OK, my results: 1) From command line: C:\>ccx Usage: CalculiX.exe -i jobname 2.1) Running a problem (from c...

Re: Stress unity problem

Hi, I have noted that the problem is the same with all units, pressure, displacement, etc etc. Again, maybe is correct from the point of view of maths, but for engineering we normally use only one unity across all the analysis/forms/inputs. I have made an analysis using several pressures, and every ...

Re: Meshes with multiple parts

I need very often work with FEA of assemblies as well, so I make a first try. I have imported a steel plate with two bolts, they are crimped together (don't know exactly the word, the bolt is knurled and the hole in the plate is a little smaller than the oringinal knurle). The simulation that I want...

Re: Meshes with multiple parts

I don't know much about the internal of the software, but this could be done by means of a not yet ready function "project nodes" from the face(s) of the first meshed volume to the faces in contact of the second volumen. Then the mesher algorithm working on the second volumen must be aware of that p...

Re: Beam Section and Shell Thickness - Test Request

I have meshed my part (several faces) in Salome Plataform and then exported as UNV, then import in FreeCAD, make a new analysis and then drag the mesh into the analysis. But when I try to apply boundary conditions, is not possible to select edges or surfaces (of elements, there is no geometry)...???...

Re: Beam Section and Shell Thickness - Test Request

Hi, I'm downloading and will test the Windows version, thanks for compiling and upload! In order to solve the problem with the "unconnected" meshes for models with several surfaces, what we need is a command to join the meshes    . Normally they take as input the meshes to...

Re: CGX in FreeCAD little code

Thanks for the feedback. I'm trying to avoid SciTE, I want to postprocess directly in CGX. In my installation, if I double clic an inp file it's open Notepad.exe.

I'm working saving my results in specific folders, could it be that the cause of the error?
