Re: Cannot pad a sketch

Your sketch contained a multi-intersection, the software could not decide what was inside and what was out.

Re: Why does this invert?

There may be a bug, but nevertheless, the OP is getting frustrated because the software will not bend to his workflow.

Re: WB Sheet metal - perforation and unfolding

Sketch symbol is far too complicated, rather make two sketches and use feature patterns. I have deleted some of the geometry and used carbon-copy to make two simplified sketches. Note that when constraining tangentially, only select end points and the tangent constraint. For further reference see Sk...

Re: Why does this invert?

If you wish to attach a sketch to a face you may, however if you then go back in the model and change something, the sketch may become attached to something unexpected. Using base planes and sketches to attach to, is easy and soon becomes second nature. The Sketcher View Section kinda works but then...

Re: Why does this invert?

It is ill advised to attach sketches to solid geometry, rather use std planes, sketches or properly attached data planes. See Topological_naming_problem . There are a number of workflows that can help, see https://wiki.freecadweb.org/images/e/e8/Sketcher_ViewSection.svg Sketcher_ViewSection or https...

Re: noob pocket issue

The tree view is a history of the features you make, if you show pocket, it depicts the model at a point in time before the other pockets were made.
