Re: Problem Importing Part into Assembly

The error is self explanatory, Przemov's video shows the problem file contains more than one visible part. You can do one of two things, make all but one part invisible, and make visible and import each part in turn. Or create a sub-Assembly using the method above and import that. Not sure if it is ...

Re: Work with several Bodies together

You need to use a shape-binder and the external geometry tool. Be aware that, since the position of body001 has been changed, the shape-binder will not be in the correct place when first created, it's trace support property must be changed to true, then it will be OK. FCv0.18 Sketcher also has a section view which does exactly what you require. Its wiki entry is rather sparse, but essentially it hides all solid matter in front of the sketch plane.

Re: Cannot create ShapeBinder onto new Body directly using Face on another Body

I don't want to mislead you, selection is possible with the body visible, it's just much easier if it isn't.

This is perhaps a little cumbersome, but it soon becomes second nature, and it does prevent the user from making incorrect selections.

Re: Cannot create ShapeBinder onto new Body directly using Face on another Body

Did you read Freedmans post?

If you don't hide the other body selection is confused.
