Re: Homepage redesign

Hi, when reading this thread I wonder why nobody cares about the readability of the FreeCAD homepage. When I'm visiting web pages with poor readability I usually just leave that page, because I get the impression that the author only has a focus on eye catching but not transferring information. I kn...

Re: Crash while sweeping

Thank you bejant for testing the sweep. I think there must be something odd with my version. I compiled it by myself. Unfortunately it was not compiled with debug symbols. So, the backtrace misses some information. Nevertheless here is it for your reference: Program received signal SIGILL, Illegal i...

Crash while sweeping

Hi, I'm trying to sweep a sketch along a wire. The wire was created in the following way: draw two lines using the draft module on the two sides of the Fillet object create a facebinder object from an inner face of the Fillet object downgrade the face binder object down to the edge level delete one ...

Re: Gehrungswinkel bestimmen

Re: Face numbering issue

Many user love the auto refine setting because the model looks much nicer without an extra manual step. Would it be possible to have a auto refine only for visual purposes without touching the underlaying model? To create a separate refined copy that doesn't update if the model changes, use the Par...

Re: Face numbering issue

I never was aware of the auto-refine making the missing topology naming situation even worse. All my models suffer from face/edge renumbering even when small dimension changes occur. Now I know that turning off the auto refine may improve the situation a bit. But here come two ideas in my mind: Ther...

Re: 0.16 Features We'd Like To See

I would like to see a working topological naming. FreeCAD wants to be a parametric modeler. But in all my previous models that were more complicated than a simple cube a change of a parameter in an early stage of the history messed up the whole model, because many of the references edges and face go...

Thank you NormandC. Your proposed work-around worked for me too.

DXF export of sketch is incomplete

Hi, first a big thank you to all developers for that great piece of software. I know that the software is still in an early development state. Nevertheless I used it for designing a cut-out sheet for a paperboard. I used the solver of the sketcher in order to get some computational support while des...
