Re: The graph is not a DAG

Thanks! Yes, now I think I can see the problem. I have based the volume that I am subtracting from the walls on a sketch based on the walls themselves (which I thought made sense, I wanted the roof subtraction to start 3m up from the bottom of the walls). I will try basing them on another face - alt...

The graph is not a DAG

Hi All, This may well be another issue that I rapidly figure out myself, but at the moment I can't see any way round it. I'm moving on with my design, at the moment modelling my house and I will add the garage once that is done. I've got as far as designing the base house, I've added the walls and s...

Toggle visibility on groups - bug?

Hi All, One thing I noticed: let's say I have a couple of different groups, for example "site" with my terrain, "walls" with the walls of my house and "roof" containing the roof (obviously!). The walls have an object subtracted from them so they match the contours of the roof. If I toggle the visibi...

Re: Error with arch remove tool

Doh! Answered my own question..... needed to use "command" (on mac) so that both pad and wall were selected at the same time..... obvious now I've made it work of course!

Error with arch remove tool

Hi All, For some reason, the arch remove tool seems to have stopped working. It's quite possible that it's something on my machine, or that I am doing something different to how I remembered doing it before (it was definitely working!). I get the output shown below... I get the same thing with the d...

Re: Some Arch module questions

At the moment I'm really just playing with little test files, just trying to prove to myself that the software will do the things I want it to do. When I say the results are quite good, I just mean that a simple 4 walls with a couple of windows gave a nice clean SVG! Still, once I'm done or at least...

Re: Some Arch module questions

Thanks! I've been playing with Blender and the Freestyle renderer, which can export to SVG with hidden line removal - the results so far are quite good. So, if anyone needs a simple 3d perspective view in SVG, you can try exporting to OBJ, then import to Blender and render with Freestyle. Let me kno...

Re: Some Arch module questions

Great, thanks! I realised that I could probably just export the 3D view as SVG and import into the drawing in Inkscape etc later, but ran into a couple of problems: - The normal shaded 3D view has some artefacts when exported: is it worth providing some examples? - The wireframe would be perfect if ...

Re: Some Arch module questions

Thanks - I wasn't using the section tool, but now I understand what it's for..... Slightly odd thing is that when I double click it, the only thing I seem to be able to do is rename it?

Re: Some Arch module questions

Hi All, Beginning to get somewhere now, and having a play with the drawing module. Two further questions: - Am I right that it's not currently possible to show a perspective view on a drawing? - The little test file I've created so far has a wall with some windows and doors in it. When I've created ...
