Re: Drawing of a cross section?

Thanks but sorry I don't understand. I've tried using the facebinder tool but I can't project from that onto a drawing, nothing appears on the page. Also I don't understand what a "helper cut" is.

Drawing of a cross section?

Hi, Is there a way of creating a drawing of the internal view of the cross section of a solid? I've found a Section plane tool in Arch which I can put where I want it but I can't work out how to project the cross section onto a drawing. I need to show the detail for a manifold mount solenoid valve. ...

Replace object tool in OpenSCAD workbench

Hi, what does the "Replace object" tool in the OpenSCAD workbench do? I was looking for a way to rearrange the order of objects in the object tree but I can't make out how it works. The User Manual is incomplete on this tool. OS: Windows 10 Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Versio...

Can't Delete pocket

Hi, I have another question. I want to delete the pocket at the bottom but keep the top/bottom through pocket. I have tried various ways to do this but alas do not succeed. I have taken out the chamfer and (temporarily) reduced the length of the top/bottom through hole so the bottom pocket has nothi...

Hi Willem,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I have tried what you suggested but it didn't work, I think you must have a different version of FreeCad?

Rotate Isometric projection?

Hi, Please refer to the 3rd page of the attached file. I'm drawing a shape which is a cube with internal holes drilled in it. I would like to show an isometric view to make it easier for the machine shop to understand but being a cube the edges overlap the internal holes making it confusing to look ...
