Re: Help on Revolve, please

Brilliant thanks I will try that. Another idea I had was to draw the profile of the strut and pad it "sideways". However I keep getting the message "Failed to validate broken face" I can't find how it is broken, do you have any ideas, please?

Re: Help on Revolve, please

Guys,

Thanks for all the input! Sorry I haven't replied earlier, I have had a busy weekend (we are moving house soon). Yes, I do want the strut to be one part. We envisage it being made from a strip stainless steel bent to shape.

Help on Revolve, please

Hello, I have 2 shapes I like to "Revolve" the faces to a curved solid joining them together to make a strut. From the instructions on the Part Workbench re "Revolve a Selected Shape" it should be possible to revolve a face to a solid, but nothing seems to happen. I always get the message, "Selected...

Re: Multiple part fuse

Hi guys,
Working on this further I think I need the Boolean function as I have to use "part cut" and similar Boolean functions. So if possible would you mind having a look at the Amulet file to see if there's a way of making a proper Boolean union of the parts?
Thanks,

Re: Multiple part fuse

Wow! I tried "Make Compound" and it worked first time! What's the difference between "Make Compound" and making a union? FYI the STEP files for the STEP Model for 7 Inch High Performance Capacitive Module can be found here: http://www.amulettechnologies.com/index.php/support/documentation/category/8...

Re: Multiple part fuse

PS I have tried fusing small groups of components together and then fusing the fusions but eventually I always get, "Fusion failed".

Multiple part fuse

Hi, I imported a STEP file of a Amulet 7" capacitive screen and deleted the internal components to reduce the file size from 8MB to 5MB. I would like to fuse the remaining components into one and then hopefully create a clone so I work with it easily to design a mounting bracket. However I always ge...

Re: Circle diameter from left to right?

Where do I find the development releases? Are they on Github?

I can't see any settings that would cause this behaviour:

Re: DXF export problem

In my experience there's a sequence of events:

Ensure the object you want to export is in the window
Go to Draft WB
Select the object (can be a sketch or a 3D object, e.g. Pad or similar)
File>Export>File name
