Radius dimension

Dear All, Very much appreciate the help you all gave me on my last question. Here's another one. I'm trying to add a radius dimension to a curved corner of a workpiece. I can do linear and diameter dimensions but I'm struggling with radius. According to the help it says, "Radius dimensions: by picki...

Drawing templates

Dear all, I have just produced a whole load of 3D drawings which I wish to convert to 2D with dimensions. I think I know how to do this but I would like the drawings to have professional templates with company name, logo, etc. I have looked at the tutorial on how to do this and it goes on about some...

Re: Clones

Brilliant! Thank you! Simple Copy it is. I have also been trying to use Fusion to fuse some parts together in a complex model, make a Fusion, copy it and move it but haven't been able to. I've just tried it with Simple Copy and it works! Thanks for all your help to us newbies.

Re: Clones

Trouble is I find copies are sometimes difficult to move. When they're pasted into the assembly document they don't respond to the XYZ move commands, whereas so far I've always found clones do, so I tend to use clones a lot.

Clones

Hi, The instructions say that a clone changes when the original part changes. I find when I create a part and clone it the clone only changes when it is in the same window as the original part. If I copy the clone to a different window it doesn't change with the original. So if I want to make a comp...

Delete

When I try to delete an object from the tree (e.g. a fusion) the standard delete function deletes the top level (i.e. the fusion) but leaves all the components (e.g. pads, etc) listed on the tree and still showing in the window. i then have to select and delete these, and I get left with the sketche...

Re: Interference checker

Thanks for your help. Sorry but being new to FreeCAD I don't understand Macros, but the Boolean intersection tool did the job. I have also learned about cloning, which will be useful.

Interference checker

Hi, Is there an interference checking tool to see if two or more 3D shapes overlap? Or does it have to be done visually? I have a complicated composite shape I want to put in a case and such a tool would be useful. I've looked at Help and can't find anything. OS: Windows 8 Word size of OS: 64-bit Wo...
