Re: Discussion: FreeCAD is not ready for 1.0

[*]FreeCAD is used to build complex and reliable models (Mechanics and Architectural Design) This is false This is your opinion... FreeCAD is used to build complex and reliable models is a fact, even if there were the transition from 0.16,0.17 and 0.18 approach. Maybe it would have made sense to ca...

Re: Discussion: FreeCAD is not ready for 1.0

I didn't want to post here because of the title, but it seems the discussion is hot here... So here my crossposting: ( Discussion: FreeCAD is ready for (deserves) 1.0 ) This is why I would suggest to use 1.0 for next stable relase (the now 0.19 development) FreeCAD is used in a professional environm...

Re: Discussion: FreeCAD is ready for 1.0

1.0 is no certificate, nor does it assure the presence of any features. Of course there are people - and always will be - who absolutely cannot use FreeCAD for some missing feature or other reason. Re: Step Import issues

I don't understand why Werner doesn't have a problem and Maurice doesn't either. That can't be, or does it matter if you use Windows or Linux? The models...

Re: Discussion: FreeCAD is ready for 1.0

Many of us think that 1.0 should be when we have a proper Assembly WB. For all the people coming from mechanical design, this is a must-have. Thanks to @realthunder Link merge it seems now we have Assembly3 alive & kicking... https://www.forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?p=367089#p367467 Moreover ...

Re: Step Import issues

Yes it's a shell or a face model, no solid. You see it very good if you make boolean cut with a cube. In your video you don't get any issue for Part Check Geometry because you erased your settings You need to Activate additional BOP check as described in here: https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/Part_C...
