Re: Fillet geometry error

This is a display artefact, mainly due to deflection setting. You can change it at body level (view tab of the property editor) Tried this morning. This is definitely it. Both Angular deflection and deflection improve the view. More importantly, knowing it's a view artifactly only, and knowing how ...

Re: Fillet geometry error

In your file datumplane is not attached, it's not tangent. That gives an error. Thanks for taking a look. I intentionally put the datum plane to be slightly below the top of the object. (Z=14.9mm; object has 15mm radius.) That allowed me to show the portion sticking above the plane easily in pictur...

Re: Fillet geometry error

Thank you for that explanation. I suspected display-only artifact, but I was thrown off that it looked the same every way I looked.

[Solved] Fillet geometry error

I think I'm seeing some geometry "improvisation' by the PartDesign fillet tool. I was able to replicate it in a simple model. (Attached.) Has anyone else noticed this? Is this a bug to report or is there another explanation? (All pictures are orthographic). Overview: Object Overview.png Right View B...

Re: FreeCAD 0.18 on OSX does not start if ...

May I reiterate the ask: What's the status of this bug (and what is the bug number)? I'm glad I found this thread. My directory and naming is exactly how Olivier described it. [After some renaming/moving]: OS: macOS 10.14 Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.18.16110 (Git)...

Re: v0.17-0.18 - Error in postprocessor

I didn't know 0.18 was that close. Is there a release candidate? That's a lot faster than 0.17 took. Anyway, I'd still rather use a stable version. There are understandably changes to objects and files that break from build-to-build on the development version. I can't risk having my projects broken ...

Re: v0.17-0.18 - Error in postprocessor

There is a pending Pull Request I ran into this on 0.17; both the April release and the Latest August release. I see that the pull request was for :master. Any chance this fix can be applied to 0.17 branch too? OS: Mac OS X Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.17.13541 (G...

Re: Vertical Feed rates in partially-vertical cuts

It now has the dropdown menu and an input field for a custom rate: @roivai, thanks. I quickly tested (w/ 2-day old build) and found a couple of issues when trying to use it on an existing design: - There was no way to enter the new field in an existing ramp entry. - There was no way to recalculate ...
