Re: Flipped dimensions in Arch drawing

Hi Yorik, Great to hear you are onto something. Indeed that looks weird! While you are looking into this, please can you also look at the use case where you select a line and then press the dimension button in the toolbar. This way an dimension is created that has a dependency on the line. This is d...

Re: Flipped dimensions in Arch drawing

Hi Yorik, Indeed, I am in a quite simple revit-like usecase. I created a workplane in the same plane as a crosssection view. I add the dimensions when facing the workplane perpendicularly. To repeat, 1)Open the v24 of my attic drawing as I used earlier in this thread, https://www.oatfield.nl/nextclo...

Re: Flipped dimensions in Arch drawing

Hi Yorik, I'm not sure what you meant with your " the revit way " comment. Did you mean doing it "the revit way" in Freecad, or drawing in Autocat Revit? In freecad (the only way I know:-) I am in a perpendicular view to the working plane, and still the dimension text are under the arrow, not above....

Re: Flipped dimensions in Arch drawing

Hi Yorik, Indeed, I am using the flip text and flip arrows to fix the issue. Thanks for the pointer to the normal. That will likely fix the mirror-image. (Need to try) So I can fix them by hand. My aim was to make you aware of the issues. But clearly you were already:-) From a naive user point of vi...

Flipped dimensions in Arch drawing

Hello all, I'm back with some feedback from my Freecad Arch usage. I noticed 4 problems: 1) While adding dimensions to the Attic drawing I notice that sometimes the dimension text are inexplicably flipped. The text is below the dimension arrow instead of atop of it. In the attached screenshot you ca...

Re: two questions on my attic design

Hello Yorik,

Just to check. How is this addition progressing? Has some treeview operations improvement already made it to the devel branch?
(That would be a reason to move from 0.18 stable to devel for me now :-)

Re: Problem with Part chamfer on Part design body

Sorry Chris,

I thought I could reproduce, but I just tried and even though the chamfer doesn't work, the Cyclic Dependency is not apearing.
So I am not able to contribute this time. Maybe I run into it once more in the future.

Re: Basic snapping problem

Hi Bejant, In order to close this thread properly: I sawthe same errors on opening the file. But after a recompute they don't apear anymore. I don't think they are fatal. I was however happy to hear snapping is at least working properly on your side, with the same file. It pointed me to my own freec...

Re: can we set a default for export?

Hi folks,

Quick check on this thread. I fo8und it because I was getting tired of repeating the switch from amf to stl for every export.
Is there a way to set stl as default already being worked on?

Kind regards,

Bert

Re: Basic snapping problem

Hello Bejant, First of all, thanks for looking into this. The error was a good catch. It was due to some problem with the section plane and the trusses group. I remove and re-add the trusses to the section plane to get rid of the error. (The roof was actually colored black by myself, to see how it l...
