Basic snapping problem

Hello all, I am at the end of ideas here, so I come to the forum for feedback. In my attic modelling project, that I written about earlier, I am redoing the dimensions. But often I am loosing the ability to snap my dimensions. The small snapping symbols don't apear anymore, independently of which sn...

Re: Problem with Part chamfer on Part design body

Hi Meme2704, Thanks for the advice. Indeed, by doing the Chamfer by edge, it works well. So you say the part chamfer has a known issue if you select too many edges? Good to know. Hope this can be fixed one day. Or even better, the part-design chamfer can be extended to do non 45' angles. @ Chrisb: T...

Re: Problem with Part chamfer on Part design body

Hi all, I completely forgot to add the files indeed. Apologies. I had them ready and then the kids distracted me (Always handy to be able to blame the kids..:-) @Vocx, I agree it looks like a topological naming issue at first sight. But normally that arises when you try to edit something up in the d...

Problem with Part chamfer on Part design body

Hello all, I ran into a strange problem. I am creating a simple box for the units for my 3D Catan printing project. I created the whole thing in the Part Design workbench. Now I needed a chamfer with an angle other than 45 degrees, so I tried to use the Part Chamfer. This went OK on one edge, but wh...

Re: Arch Shape2D view cyclic dependency

Hi Vocx, I was hoping the description was sufficient, given the long thread. I am trying to create a drawing with the inside measurements of the new attic at a height of 1.5m (the usefull space) Screenshot (37).png In the attached picture you can see what I want to accomplish. In this picture I have...

Re: Arch Shape2D view cyclic dependency

Quick followup: For a moment, I thought I solved the problem by setting a clipping view. However, the clipping view does not stay on. When I set the right z height in the dialog, all looks well. But I don't see a confirmation button. Only a close button and when hitting that one, the clipping is gon...

Re: Arch Shape2D view cyclic dependency

Hello Yorik, I'm back to the attic drawing from a while back, trying to clean up the techdraw and dimensions. In the thread above you mentioned it is best to link the dimensions to the 3D model directly, in order to avoid the cyclic dependency. I am trying to take that approach. But I am running int...

Re: two questions on my attic design

Does this include manual reordering to some other user order as well? Would be great. I'm fiddling with that ATM, but it is much less easy... Thanks for looking into this, Yorik! I hope you can make this working, as it was also something I wanted to ask, when I saw chrisb beat me to it. Just draggi...

Re: two questions on my attic design

Hello Vocx, Did you just call the right mouse button (RMB), the left mouse button (LMB), twice?! Did I? I'm left handed and seem to mix them up occationally (to great frustration of my driving instructor long time ago..) Anyways, I mean the right-click/RMB, when clicking on a item in the treeview:-)...

Re: some toolbar icons missing on ubuntu freecad 0.18.1

Hi Triplus, Finally, finally got some time to check. And indeed. Tools -> Addon manager -> IconThemes module. After restarting FreeCAD, things did look a lot better!:-) But this is a a workaround. But should I file a bug report? Or is this a known-enough issue and being worked on. For sure a first t...
