Re: Use case
it's been quite some time since parts were posted here. What are you people doing?!? Stuffing yourselves and enjoying your Christmas gifts? :D I'm having fun now making parts from OSE project, but are simple parts and it's not an honour to post them. What I want to obtain now is enough parts to tes...

Re: Strange boolean operation
Sometimes I use a different approach to design parts like this, removing material instead of building, like a milling machine..
Try my attached file to see a way to create the part usin only the partdesign workbench.

Re: Help creating a steel profile
1. How can I connect the oblique line to the vertical construction line 8,5 mm? Select the lower point of the vertical line and the oblique line and select the "point on object" constrain 2. How can I make it to a symmetrical axis? The simmetry constrain works with two 2 points and an axi...

Re: Help creating a steel profile
Following the above suggestions, you can draw your profile as I have done in the attached file.
Take it as example to understand how a sketcher works..
The same results can be obtained in different manners. I've used the simmetry constrain instead of double the draw of the lines at 8%

Re: FreeCAD on the web
I was searching for some models to design in freecad different from my daily work and from the prusamendel. So I remebered a big and great project that really needs a sw like freecad and that has already a big money fund to complete their wonderful ideas. http://opensourceecology.org Browsing the w...

I think you are talking about thatlogari81 wrote:mrlukeparry had already worked on this. Probably jriegel knows more about. Maybe the discussion was in the "Plans for PartDesign" thread.

Re: Untraslated strings for stable release 0.12
I have found two obsolete strings in sketcher ts file that refer to sketchflat that must be removed:
"Sketchflat sketch"
"Create a new sketchflat sketch by starting externel editor"
typo to be corrected:
"Select atleast two lines from the sketch."

Re: surface smoothness and file size
Really great work.
Now is 1,6 times more one and 22 times less the other referring to catia files..
what about the time needed to open the file?
currently it takes 5-10 seconds on my machine and same time to save.
The new version need more, less or equal time?
