Re: Edges and faces names

But, depending on what you try to achieve, there are several ways to deal with that, such as comparing edges before and after the operation (they have hashcode and also a couple of python methods to compare geometry, etc...). Can you show me where I can find more about hashcode? Do other topologica...

Re: SVG import

Hi ryback. Sorry I mixed up multiplication and divsion;( 1123px25.4(mm/in)/90dpi=316.94mm (inkscpe 90dpi output) 3980x25.4²/90²=317(mm) (messed up) I fixed that in my github repo. SVG import is abit senstive to precission problems. You may want to tweak your Draft precision setting. There is current...

Re: SVG import

Personnaly, I use inkscape to draw body guitar.... I try to import SVG body in freeCAD, they works but my body draw doesn't have good dimension. So, for my use, i would like Freecad manage unit properly. I've added the scaling of the whole svg acording to the viewbox, height and width attributes. P...

Re: svg export issues

Well it can be you! It's easy, just follow the guidelines on these 2 pages (the 1st one for the DrawingContent tag, the other one for the editable texts) Is there a way to set the line width (line group) in the template or to use the line group (line width) setting using the template mechanismn? I ...

I try to import SVG body in freeCAD, they works but my body draw doesn't have good dimension. So, for my use, i would like Freecad manage unit properly. If you used a current version of inkscape, there i a high chance that scaling by 0.2822222 (25.4mm/in / 90dpi) fixes your problem for the moment. ...

Re: svg export issues

For the arc flags problems we must also make a better code. edge=... drawing_plane_normal=FreeCAD.Vector(0,0,1) #be careful when doing (other) projections! flag_large_arc = ((edge.ParameterRange[1]-edge.ParameterRange[0]) / math.pi) % 2) > 1 flag_sweep = edge.Curve.Axis*drawing_plane_normal < 0 Not...

Re: svg export issues

In src/Mod/Drawing/App/DrawingExport.cpp the angle of an arc is calculated by double a = v3.DotCross(v1,v2); Lines 177 and To determine the parameters of an arc I need to use 2D trigonometrics in order to get the quadrant/sign of the angle (like arctan2) right (in importSVG.py). I thought seb_kuzmin...

Re: svg export issues

There is one important problem that has not been addressed yet in FreeCAD, printing in real scale. Due to exactly what seb_kuzminsky said, it is currently impossible to print out an svg produced by the Drawing module in real scale. Do the results differ in any way when you compare CAM output and dr...
