Re: Rebar Models will not render

Right now I'm busy for the next two days. As soon as I finish my current task I will post the diagnostic information.

Rebar Models will not render

I'm having problems showing rebar models in Techdraw. I have a concrete frame structure that I modeled. It has columns and beams filled with rebar. I can render the entire set of rebar using a 3d view. However, when I try to put the 3d view into a Techdraw page, the program goes off chasing rabbits ...

Where is the symbols library

In the wiki page https://wiki.freecadweb.org/TechDraw_Symbol there is a reference to a symbols library that is available as a macro under the addons manager. However, when I look, it is actually on the workbenches tab. OS: Windows 10 (10.0) Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Versio...

Re: Invalid Entry in FC 0.70mm

Well the file does not exist. At one time I had installed FreeCAD 21325 but has since been deleted. I did find the problem by looking at the preferences page. For some reason, the Text boxes in the Files UI Group were all pointing to the directory contained under version 21325 and not under version ...

Invalid Entry in FC 0.70mm

I ran across a possible Techdraw bug. I get the following error Cannot open LineGroup file: C:/Users/dglaser/Downloads/Freecad/FreeCAD_0.19.21325_x64_LP_12.1.6_PY3QT5-WinVS2015/data/Mod/TechDraw/LineGroup/LineGroup.csv LineGroup::invalid entry in FC 0.70mm when I add a wall to a view. The FC version...

Scripting Rules for Attribute Modification

I have found an inconsistency on how attribute setting occurs within Macros. Basically, I can set the "Selectable" attribute of an object with no problem but I can't always set the "Visibility" attribute. It can't be set when the object is a child of a "BuildingPart" object. To illustrate the proble...

HowTo Model Rebar in CMU Cores

Hi, I'm trying to figure out a good way to model vertical rebar that connects two ring beams with cement block wall between them. I model the cement block wall as an ARCH Wall with make blocks turned on. The ring beams are ARCH Structures. Modeling the horizontal rebar in the beams is not a problem....

Re: ARCH Rebar - what is cause of unintialized variable

Some more info. I created a stand alone column that was not connected to the structure and created a straight rebar with no problem. I used the defaults in the dialog box. This tells me that something is wrong with the ARCH Structure object that causes the rebar tool to barf. What should I look for?...
