Re: 0.19 ppa daily?

So if your project is important long term, in most cases, it's best to stick to core FreeCAD functionality. No need to spread such FUD. Assembly 2 up to and including FreeCAD 0.16 and A2plus for FreeCAD 0.17+. That is the recommended option for now. Everything else is still cutting edge and therefo...

Re: appimage where are log files

Does it make sense to start the appimage with logs always enabled? In general the AppImage should try to behave the same, as the standard install. Therefore if the log file should be written by default, that is something FreeCAD should do by default. Otherwise such things only add to the confusion.

BTW, how can we test it?
Try to recreate this:

P.S. Right clicking on an item in tree view should offer Link related options.

Re: Travis build failure

If not can you post the error? Sure, we can discuss this further tomorrow, after the build will finish. I believe that Boost issue should be resolved now and Netgen will likely need to get disabled too. Best to wait for the logs to get produced first. I browsed around the travis-ci a bit but couldn...

Re: Travis build failure

Cleared the master cache, I didn't need to create the PR cache because it wasn't created at the last build attempt. Basically the same errors https://travis-ci.org/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/builds/574016856?utm_source=github_status&utm_medium=notification Thanks. I made a few changes (force updates) and hope...

why wiki say use --write-log
Using -l or --write-log option, both should do the same thing.

Re: My TechDraw templates (Slovenian) - use as you please!

FreeCAD is licensed LGPL 2, which means code contributed to it must be compatible with this license. For example, MIT and BSD 3-clause licenses are compatible, but GPL 2 or above are not. The GPL licenses are considered too restrictive; see Licence . Just to clear any possible confusion. This shoul...

Re: Tips on improving techdraw performance

The idea basically would be that TD doesn't have anymore to care about the geometry. It would receive a list of points that it would be able to highlight in green and put dimensions between those points (considering the view scale of course). Of course it wouldn't be able to dimension lines just ye...

Re: What is the deal with pivy?

Currently in my opinion Pivy/Coin3D situation is still manageable. The real challenges ahead are likely related to new technologies, such as supporting potential successors of OpenGL, Qt beyond Qt Widgets, some bug on some platform emerging and not being easy to fix ... Here situation could become d...

Re: Travis build failure

After clearing the pull request cache and restarting the build, it still fails to find the boost stuff. Thanks for trying it. Based on some research i imagined this might happen. As both PR cache and master branch cache would likely need to get cleared. Otherwise PR still ends up using the old cach...
