I would like to know if there is a thread, You Tube video, some resource to learn how to use the arch work bench?

Re: Welder looking to be more efficient using FreeCAD

Feel free to document some of your experience for potentially other welders who use FreeCAD. Absolutely, I was hoping the subject of this thread will attract other welders/fabricators to help answer similar questions. And hopefully help benefit the developers of FreeCAD with input from my end. With...

Welder looking to be more efficient using FreeCAD

Hi folks, I run a small fabrication shop, I fab in the daytime and draft in the night time I'm literally a one man crew. I've been using FreeCAD since my join date on this forum, I know enough to get by. One thing I looking to improve is creating structural shapes ex: square, rectangular, round tubi...

Re: Parts turn black when using fusing parts

Actually Part Compound sounds like something I've been looking for.

The only reason I fuse all the sub-assemblies is so that I can transfer the whole project into the Drawing Workbench and that's the only way I know how to do it.

I am still trying to learn how to use CAD software.

Parts turn black when using fusing parts

Good Evening, I am currently working on a bracket that supports pillow block bearings for a group of rollers. Also I drafted each part on its own file and then put them into one work bench using "Merge Projects" to fuse them together. Before attempting this I used the measuring tape icon to help wit...

Re: Weld Symbols

Thank you, The Drawing Dimension is great! not only I can add weld symbols to my drawings, I can add dimension lines in the drawing with ease. I can project dimensions from the workbench fine but when it comes to multiple views it becomes difficult even when I transfer the X, Y,and Scale from "Ortho...

Re: Cant add dimensions to my drawing

As you already created dimensions in Draft WB you can use Draft Drawing tool to add them to Drawing Page: http://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/index.php?title=Draft_Drawing But as said the most straightforward and convenient solution currently is: https://github.com/hamish2014/FreeCAD_drawing_dimensionin...

Weld Symbols

Being this is my first post, I want to say Free CAD has an easier to understand interface at first glance as opposed to AutoCAD.

My question is; has there been any thought on putting weld symbols in Free CAD?
