except the angle for counterbore
Yes, I agree. I was a bit too brief. My reaction was to items like the depth and angle of a countersink. Some countries do not use ISO exclusively.

Re: Bug #4123 - MacOS "Datum (whatever dimension) mm for the constraint with index (whatever constraint) is invalid."

I never interpreted the redundant constraints as "errors" ... is that in fact the case? They should be considered errors? Redundant constraints definitely can hinder the solver, or even prevent it from reaching a solution. That is why they are considered bad. Error?? I guess you can define it anywa...

Re: Hole dialog discussion

For a predefined cutting (screwtype), I think the user should be: | Type | able to change | able to change | able to change | | | diameter | depth | angle | |-------------+----------------+----------------+----------------| | counterbore | not usefull | usefull | does not apply | |-------------+---...

Re: Can't pad simple sketch

If something is in the Elements tree, it still exists.

I don't know what you did, but you did not delete the line if it is still in the tree.

Re: Close a hole in my shape

It appears to be related to OCC, at least from my experiments. Works fine with: OS: Windows 7 SP 1 (6.1) Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.19.22846 (Git) Build type: Release Branch: master Hash: 1f46b72491a0008384a6db4f2615a656249f6f08 Python version: 3.8.6 Qt version: ...

Re: Discussion for merger of Pocket and 3D Pocket

Simplifying the user choices in the main Path menu is a good idea. I think that keeping a fair degree of user control in the actual task panel is important. One of the key reasons the Contour and Profile merger was successful is that the user can still choose the type of operation. I have found case...

These lines were removed
OK.

I am confused by the dates. The link I posted seems to refer to a file created the day after the "removal" you quoted.

But I am probably misreading something.

What do you guys think?
Do you realize that the current FreeCAD code base has over 1000 python modules? How many of those might require extra work for some reason?

Hope you don't plan to get this done over the weekend.

Re: safe and clearance height

Can I get a review from you guys on this PR? I tested this yesterday, and the "stay down" part seems to work correctly. Or perhaps I should say, "It works the way I think it should." :D The new addition today for the retract height (G83 - Peck) appears to be hard-coded at plus 1 mm over the start d...
