Export Dialog for a given Workbench.

As things stand at the moment when my workbench is active and I try an export I get the following
export.png
export.png (94.81 KiB) Viewed 110 times
Where the file time seems to default to the first in alphabetic order of the export types that FreeCAD supports.
Is there a way I can get my workbench to set a different export type?

Any clever QT programmers out there?

Wondering if there are any knowledgeable Qt developers out there? Least I assume it would need Qt programming. What I would like to see is a facility for setting a set of FreeCAD object properties. What I envisage is an option to create a pie chart with 2 to n parameters and allow the user to drag/r...

Re: What is VecGeom ?

Thanks for the heads up was not really aware of VecGeom. From a quick google round it appears to be a replacement graphics library for Geant4 and ROOT with aim of being able to have simulations exploit parallel / multicore processors. For reasons that I don't fully understand, Monte Carlo simulation...

App::PropertyEnumeration

Is it possible to dynamically define enumeration properties? By which I mean if the user clicks on such a property that a function gets called to populate the list, rather than the list be predefined with code like obj.addProperty("App::PropertyEnumeration","vtype","Quadrang","vtype") obj.vtype=["Ab...

Scaning a document and accessing object parameters

Okay I am scanning a document that has objects defined as Part::FeaturePython and others as App::DocumentObjectGroupPython No I can determine what sort of object I have with if isinstance(obj.Proxy,GDMLmaterial) : but how can I access the properties of this object? I have tried unsuccessfully if has...

Import and Export

Okay I can define in say init.py an Import for a file type with FreeCAD.addImportType(string, string) and it looks for either an open() function or an import() function in the named python file . I can also define an export type with FreeCAD. addExportType(string, string) and it looks for an export(...

Re: FreeCAD @CERN

Well the following link you referred me to in the past https://home.cern/news/news/computing/migrating-open-source-technologies Is motivated by the Microsoft increasing their licensing costs and changing CERN's terms, That is the reason why CERN is moving away from Ms and getting OpenSource sw to c...
