Re: Something wrong with Postprocessing Feedrate on Path WB?

Thank you, Dan.

It was good point. You were right.

But now I have other kind of question:
Why @ "Check G-code" applet I see mm/sec? It not useful at all.

Cheers,
Eugenijus.

Re: A Wish for a Path WB: G41/G42 commands

It is not a trick on CNC. It is a good practice. But working on limited G-code set is not. FreeCAD can not (and seems not been intended for) replace SolidWorks. And also SolidCAM or MasterCAM. It is not tool for items, produced in big volumes. Exactly because of his target, all 'things' produced by ...

Re: Tool Editor / Tool Table

HI, If you go this way, you need to be correct. There are too many params of each tool. And there are big different families of them too. Let's check just simple facing mill: Zetool.png https://www.iscar.com/eCatalog/Family.aspx?fnum=3795&mapp=ML&GFSTYP=M Good luck, Eugenijus. For thread milling alp...

Something wrong with Postprocessing Feedrate on Path WB?

Hi. After completing all Operations with manually described parameters for each Tool, including feed rates, I got strange F at the exported code. No matter what I wrote in Data tabs, no matter which post-processor is called, it is always F150000.000. Example: Was @ Operation: G0 Z5.000000 G0 X-15.00...

Re: A Wish for a Path WB: G41/G42 commands

Exactly. When your code includes G41/G42, you are on real points of the path of a tool. It is quit to impossible to track some 0.XYZABC differences on the fly. At the case of G41/42 you leave them for compensations by controller. And even more: When you need to leave some material for finish, you ca...

A Wish for a Path WB: G41/G42 commands

Hi, Modern CNC machines have their own Tool Offset Table, where Height and Diameter compensation listed. Even more, Wear of the Tool column at this Table helps us to compensate even hardly used or refurbished tool. So, it will be very nice to create a tool path as "compensated", but not trough chang...

Re: How to turn off (disable) Numpad navigation?

Tools->Customize. Keyboard tab. 'Standard View' category. Hunt for standard views in the list, and unbind the shortcuts (Clear button) . Done! Your made may day! Really. Even if I sometimes can not enter a value, the view remains untouched. On complex assembly it matters. Thank you! Unfortunately, ...

Re: FC17 install on Win7: associations belongs to FC16

Oh yes there is a problem. I can make it ask me to browse to FC executable, and I selected FC v0.16 just for a test... and FC 0.17 opened instead. Looks like Windows has a stupid bug. In real, it is not Windows bug there. It is the feature. Structure of registry descriptors have very strict rules a...

Re: FC17 install on Win7: associations belongs to FC16

Manual steps described: 1. Create the key .FSCtd @ \HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ 2. Under it, create DeafaultIcon key with type REG_SZ and value %your_freecad_path%,0 3. Under \HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications create key FreeCAD.exe 4. Under it create empty key "shell" 5. One level more, under \shell - on more ...

Re: FC17 install on Win7: associations belongs to FC16

Come on. Windows has a tool for assigning file associations, you don't have to edit registry. There is a new mechanism in windows 10, but I don't know how to program for it. But whenever I install a new program that can open certain file types (e.g., install Chrome, which can open PDFs), Windows wi...
