Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

I've created a github repo for test files . @kbwbe, @turro75 and @ManuelKrause are "collaborators" and should be able to push updates. If you have any interesting/useful test files please consider putting a copy into this repo. wf Hi wandererfan, good idea, i will participate when back from holiday...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

ping Hi Turro, first feed back regarding your PR with two solvers. I had to switch back to spinstep-divisor/weights used within master. When i did this, the new second "merge+master" solves most cases, but not all. I think it has nothing to do with the parameters mentioned above. There must be anot...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

ping Hi Turro, one question: Is it possible for you to do a PR with the two solver solution to devel branch next days ? Or do we have to merge manually ? Important: the PR should only include your core modifications so that there is no big impact to current devel state. Our standard solver should k...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

What does 'Convert Part to A2Plus form' do exactly? Hi Koemi, if you put e.g. a fastener from fasteners WB to A2plus file, at first moment it is no correct A2p import part. You can select the new fastener, hit the "convert" button and the fastener turns to be a A2p part. From this point on, you can...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

My next approach will be: As the unfixing strategy is very slow especially if the reason of misplacement is not directly constrained to the one misplaced ,I'll try to unfix everything and then analyze how it works Another way is Stage 1 : merge all fully constrained objs Stage 2 : use master way wi...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Stage 2 : use master way with progressive and unfixing if needed hoping that reducing the number of objs does the job One question: Is merging of rigids compatible with recursive unfixing ? I think Yes it is, Merging simply delete one rigid and replace any reference to merged obj to the resulting o...
