Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Can anybody explain why we disassemble imported parts and rebuild as a shell instead of using a Compound shape? It seems such an obvious approach that I must be missing something. wf Hi wandererfan, your are right ! It is inside as code was mainly taken from Hamish's WB. Later this algo was ...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Hi Klaus, please just don't feel any time pressure! Like @Turro75 said yesterday or so, "it's ready, when it's ready." Period. I like him for this expression! Hi Manuel, the recompute issue is fixed, your icon for DOF printouts is within the toolbar. . DOF-Button.png Hi Klaus, thank you for your wo...

Your nr. 5) idea, what I think you mean works the same in SolidWorks ('Width'): http://help.solidworks.com/2017/english ... SWassy.htm

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

BTW I cannot display the icons of the constraints... what I get is similar to the @Turro75 image I'm attaching what do you get back when you enter this in the console? >>> import a2plib >>> a2plib.pathOfModule() Hi Wandererfan, in my pc (win10) I get >>> import a2plib >>> a2plib.pathOfModule() 'C:\...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

BTW I cannot display the icons of the constraints... what I get is similar to the @Turro75 image I'm attaching Hi @easyw-fc, i could not solve this problem up to now. The icons exist in WB-files, but are not found if opening assembly on another machine. Do you have an idea ? EDIT: Sorry I posted th...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

@Kbwbe, of course a more intensive test has to be put in place, anyway with the latest improvements and bug fixes the solver seems working very well. I would like to know if You already planned a sort of roadmap to first "public" release or what do You think we are still missing to reach the featur...

Of course no pressure at all, it's ready when it is ready. Hi to all devs! Very nice team work! :D BTW I cannot display the icons of the constraints... what I get is similar to the @Turro75 image I'm attaching turro.png but I would like to obtain the same of @Kbwbe in his picture: Kbwbe.png Thanks ...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

@Turro75, @manuelkrause, @wandererfan Hi Guy's, i got axialConstraint stable now. It solves Manuel's problematic motor assembly now without problems. I switched back to old calculation of axial.getMovement(), but adjusted the refPoints during loadSystem(). Now the refPoint of axial is set near to t...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Hi Manuel, your assemblies are always useful to find strange problems. I was hunting a problem with axial constraints within your motor, but found a problem within your piston part. Please find 3 files attached: - modified piston - stable assembly - instable assembly Open the assemblies and hit the...
