Re: Beginners questions...
Here are two examples of sweeps created in FreeCAD from Master. They will display in FreeCAD release 0.13 but can not be originally created in 0.13. This one I created a surface with a hole (like a washer) and swept it along a sketch which must have a tangent constraint between its components. If th...

Re: Beginners questions...
Come on Jim, 0.13.1828 is the current official stable release and it came out not two months ago!!! ;) And yet it is already obsolete! :D No, not really. But there are a few interesting things in master already. :) Staying on 0.13 is also probably a good idea for people like him, who presumably wil...

Re: names of Lines and vertices
Hi Werner The vertex is more obvious. Part create primitive, select a point from the drop down list and you get a Vertex in the tree named Vertex. the Line is more subtle. Its not the same really, but if you create some lines in the above, and then go to shape builder you make a face from edges. It ...

Re: Beginners questions...
EDIT: Something just came to my mind... Do I perhaps need to convert my sketch to something like a "path object" as some image processing programs use? I used the term "path" literally in my previous postings and couldn't find something like a "convert to path..." in F...

Re: remove display modes
Yes, because IMO multi-selection here is only a pseudo argument. What does it help to allow to select different types of shape and set a display mode e.g. "Flat Lines" if this leads to make the circles, ellipses, ... invisible? I am not sure if that is funny or sad or both? Because I spec...

names of Lines and vertices
Hi We currently have a mix of names for Lines/Edges and points/vertices both in the GUI and the code. When I first started with FreeCAD I thought of these as points and lines, but at least in the Part workbench I can see now that they are more than that, they really are edges and vertices. If we wer...

Re: remove display modes
But if there is a good reason to go with your modifications, shouldn't vertex only have "Points" mode?

I deliberately put those in there because other wis...
