Re: Intersecting contours pocket.
Sure. But I thought it was clear from the screenshot... Those circles are in one sketch and grove works perfectly fine. First they were just touching - no problem there. Then I moved them closer togerher and realized that they were intersecting and would probably make just the outer contour from arc...

Re: [Improvement ?] PartDesign Pad & Pocket don't have same direction
I actually don't really care because in my mind it does not really matter. I draw the sketch where I want it to be. I pad/pocket. Is it in the right direction - yes - perfect/no - press reverse direction. No need to think about is the initial direction the proper one. But since in the past decision ...

Intersecting contours pocket.
I was under impression that intersecting contours in a single sketch was not good. Why does the following groove work? . IntContGroove.JPG . Trying to pocket with the same sketch fails (multiple solids) or gives wrong faces depending on there I move the circles up/down (still intersecting). OS: Wind...

Re: Thickness causing fillets on another sketch
With 3D printing the holes turn into ovals if they are not on a vertical edge. I meant a simple hole in the side like below. Where do you get ovals? There probably will be some hanging in the first bridge layer ontop of the hole but that is easy to remove to restore the shape if it is so critical. ...

Re: [Improvement ?] PartDesign Pad & Pocket don't have same direction
Maybe it is logical when you map sketches to faces. End seems logical anyway. You pull solid from sketch - up. You drill hole into body - down. When you look over sketch you look from the side where pocket will appear. Otherwise it would be on the back.

Re: Thickness causing fillets on another sketch
In your last sketch why is there a real round contour at the outside? If it was just the rectangles there should be no problem cutting with that. And why is everything offset to the right? Here is a simple pocket with your original file and the latest grid sketch. For the thickness I changed the Tip...

It is a simple ZIP archive. Rename it and view inside. Or you could use harder method "Tools/Project utility" if you need to change something in the file and repack it in proper way.
