Re: Developing an open online course for FreeCAD

The current work is published on Github, which simplifies collaboration: https://bassmatifreecad.github.io/FreecadUserBook/en/index.htm This page has already videos, but still without audio comments. I'm working on it... https://bassmatifreecad.github.io/FreecadUserBook/en/asm3/link.htm So, if there...

Re: Developing an open online course for FreeCAD

Hello everyone, I am currently documenting my learning with Realthunder's Assembly 3 Preview. When I first started with Freecad a frew months ago, videos provided little help, because I didn't have the necessary background, so many details were lost. I whished that there was a detailed step-by-step ...

Re: Assembly 4 workbench

Should we write a wiki page for Asm4 ? Currently I am writing a tutorial for Realthunder's Assembly 3 workbench. Based on HTML, CSS and a few lines of JavaScript. Easy to download and have it offline. Minimum authoring effort. https://bassmatifreecad.github.io/FreecadUserBook/en/index.htm Integrati...

Re: Assembly3 preview

How to reference an object in a different file in a formula? The syntax is DocumentName#ObjectName.PropertyName … <<Document Label>>#<<Object Label>>.PropertyName Works! Thanks a lot! I tried internal names yesterday, but I must have been blind or just too tired. Ulrich

I can't seem to find a prefix for an object that is a different file… or is it not possible in the moment?
THX in advance
