Re: Major update from 0.16 to 0.19: Migrating problems

And it goes on and on... New part, created with V0.19. Saved this part locally on c-drive (check attachement). Tried to import it in the assembly. And it fails. Same sh*t as described earlier. What the hell is going wrong? Am I the only person in the world with this problem? I definately need help, ...

Re: Major update from 0.16 to 0.19: Migrating problems

Hi kbwbe, thanks for your reply This morning I started my PC and FC. Opened the assembly, tried to add the same parts and... It worked 100%!! Flabbergasted!!  The error message in the reportview looks strange. Do you try to get a relative path from a server to a local drive ? I do not...

Re: Major update from 0.16 to 0.19: Migrating problems

Still fighting with migrating A2Plus or Part Design. 99% fails. I have no idea why. It is a time consuming monster. Every time I try to import using A2Plus I get the " a2p_SketchReference.svg " icon in the combo view combined with the filename, but the actual file does not appear. - Tried ...

Re: From 3D part to 2D sketch, whatever the camera position

I was already checking some mesh-possibilities, thanks Roy_043. I will definately try this 8-)

Re: From 3D part to 2D sketch, whatever the camera position

My code works with your test file. Thanks Roy_043, I love it when people try to solve the impossible, so it seems. I do not know if your code works, because I do not know how to use it (but I trust you 100% of course) :D Can this code also be used as a macro? Or just in the Python console? Or....? ...

Re: From 3D part to 2D sketch, whatever the camera position

Thanks Roy_043, appreciate it 8-) Select the object and copy-paste the code. I have tried your code with my specific 'simple' shape; it didn't do anything unfortunately. Can this code also be used as a macro? Or just in the Python console? Or....? And what exactly is 'the object'? A body? A sketch? ...

Re: From 3D part to 2D sketch, whatever the camera position

With Shape2DView I'm close, but I only need the outer line. When this works I can create the Sketch immediately. It would be a few clicks further to make the pad I want. Manually removing all internal lines in every single Shape2DView or Sketch will be weeks of work Tried several ways to create what...

Re: From 3D part to 2D sketch, whatever the camera position

why create a separate sketch for each rotation and not just shapebinders that are then rotated. Or a polar pattern if it's all going to be in the same body. Or Draft array of the sketch. I try to explain what I am trying to do. Say I want to create a 3D head of a cartoon figure; for instance Mickey...

Re: From 3D part to 2D sketch, whatever the camera position

Thanks Roy_043. This is going in the right direction :D But I get the internal edges also inside the produced Shape2DView (I prefer only the outer line). Why? Because I want every created Shape2DView --> sketch --> pad. Impossible with these internal edges And I expect to do this procedure quite a l...
