Re: Microelly2 projects conversion - license question

Work away. He uses licence without number, so I'd assume the newest version. The original LGPL (v2) is from 1991....the 2.1 is from 1999 and v3 is from 2007. FreeCAD uses LGPL2+ The + means "or any newer version". The above is my take on it and it's not the official statement from the project core d...

Re: Fail to compile FreeCAD on Fedora 34

I tried to build FreeCAD from the spec that is in fedora 34 repo - no go. Fails building from .spec file and fails building from .srpm. There is FreeCAD in the repo, so it's something that was changed in fedora 34 recently.

Forcing external SMESH seems to be fixing the build on fedora 34. Testing in progress..
Did you manage to build it finally after solving the issue with VTK9 ?
Nope, it failed on boost. More testing tomorrow.

Re: Fail to compile FreeCAD on Fedora 34

There is a problem with building FreeCAD on fedora 34 - my local builds are failing and the COPR nightly builds as well are not working properly. I didn't do dabetailed check yet, but I saw some VTK related stuff that is breaking my local builds. The COPR was inaccessible due to account system migra...

Re: Modelling mechanical performance

Search for FEM for mechanical stuff and CFD is you want to simulate the flow. A simple example of how FEM works https://peertube.social/videos/watch/d7 ... 91a69a1446

Re: Self test fails on fedora 33 - nightly build

That might be it. Linux will treat those as 2 different files, windows might be OK with it?
I'll test it locally.

Edit: no change. I'll try a clean build
