understanding polar pattern
stays difficult: some files enclosed - how can I pattern my first "wall" around the "normal sketch axis"? I was thinking that I was just using this axis for the polar pattern. 3 occurences of 270 degrees is the solution which I would expect but 4 occurences at 271 does a similar ...

doc - some detail questio about changing, display, structure
Hello, some questions about the doku / wiki: 1) in my browsers the display of the headline is awful. I've veryfied that the entry in the document (which I've created) is as I think it have to be (1st header - =header= , like any other pages ). Have I made a mistake or is everything all right and tha...

How to find to which face a sketch is mapped to (Part Design
Hello, as the subject says I want to know how to find out to which face a sketch is mapped to (in workbench Part Design, GUI). The feature on which the sketch belongs is shown in the tree, but I couldn't found anything about the face. My first idea would be to expect that the face is highlighted whe...

Re: noob question
Hello buick455, at the time I also just try something with FreeCAD, therefore I could not resist to take your model an do two things. The first one: I've tried the "conversion" from "part" to part design. The "most difficult thing" altough was copying the sketches an pl...

Re: Sketch crashes FreeCAD
Probably it hast lost a reference. The whole model was larger, I've deleted everything not related. Hi Ralf Is there any chance here that you mean you mapped a sketch to a face of an object, then used an "Edge on external geometry" tool, then deleted or modified the shape which the Edge ha...

Sketch crashes FreeCAD
Hello, the appended sketch crashes immediately the whole program after trying to start work on it. I'm not shure if is it a bug. The sketch may be broken, I can't verify it anymore. Probably it hast lost a reference. The whole model was larger, I've deleted everything not related. I've tried FreeCAD-...

Re: another external geometry / linked geometry question
Thank you, that was what I was asking for. Nevertheless - the next Question is already rised: is the linked geometry updated when the parameters / values change? (I've strongly expected that!) Model in attachment ... The hole created from the second sketch should stay concentric when the location of...

another external geometry / linked geometry question
with the sketcher workbench I've tried to design some simple sketches where the second one ist linked to the first/ previous one. For this I wanted to use the "external geometry" command /button of the sketcher workbench. Concretely I want to create in the second sketch two circles as link...

Re: compile fail on debian for v13 - solved
Hello, and at first thank you very much for your help. I've tried to follow all the hints and advices. Usually I start to search if I've made mistakes by myself. In this case I think, that was the case. What I've done: as proposed, I've - used the english version of the compile-help-page; - verified...
