Re: Assembly3 preview
3) it seems the A3 build for win is missing ssl libs 4) 'Addons manager' doesn't work (this is related to point 3) Copy libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll from 0.16.6712 will fix these 2. I need to update the libpack used by AppVeyor. I wanted to export the assembly as a step, but it doesn't generate an...

Re: Manipulator WorkBench
Hello easyw-fc! great job, really impressive. I'm start thinking a way to make this a solid base for a simple assembly wb. Do You think it makes sense creating a virtual object in the tree that stores the relevant info of the just done align or move action? (i.e objectA, ObjectB, setup of each param...

Re: Step export size
Hello, as an example, in the freecad library under generic objects I found the step file Euro-coin which is 4.7M https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-library/blob/master/Generic%20objects/euro-coin.step I get 2.2M (about 32k entities) if exported to step with OS: Windows 7 Word size of OS: 32-bit Word...

Step export size
Hi All,
Win7 32bit, Exporting to step gives me different file sizes with different fc releases
Fc16 6706 → 9M
Fc17 100xx → 18M
Fc 16 6706 With curve data flag activated → 48M
I cannot share the 3d model, could somebody check if this difference is normal?

Re: Spreadsheet - Avoid recompute() automatically executed
Thnaks Triplus,
I found that option on 0.17 only, unfortunately it didn't work
May "skip recomputes" work only once?

Spreadsheet - Avoid recompute() automatically executed
Hi All, I'm working on a sketch that contains 4 constraints linked to 4 spreadsheet alias. In the spreadsheet I had stored a lot of combinations to generate different sketch configurations. I haven't found a way to modify all 4 cells at the same time (there isn't any support to copy -paste in the sp...

Re: How to create a good drawing for construction
Hello, everytime You need to get a 2D , the best choice is to design each part along std axes/planes and then put parts together in an assembly. If You really really need to design in your way You can: - using assembly2 , import your part and a dummy plate placed over a standard plane, then create a...

Re: Assembly 2 workbench - The Mux thing ??
Hello,
for those interested in I forked on github the assembly2 workbench extended with mux refresh function.
https://github.com/Turro75/FreeCAD_assembly2
I used it last month on both 0.16 and 0.17 without any issue.
