Re: Arch Wall tool renders wrong, passes Geometry check

Greetings to the Community! @drmacro @ProjectBP This is a very correct interpretation of the sketch, the apparent error is simply caused by the thickness of the wall, if you detach the angled lines of the sketch from the main one just enough, everything is back to normal ;) . I think it's the same ...

Re: Arch Wall tool renders wrong, passes Geometry check

The sketch has 2 wires. One of which consists of the 3 short edges in the sketch that share a common point (wire is not the same as polyline here). That wire is processed as two polylines by the code, resulting in what you see in the image. Not what is expected by the user, but correct geometry non...

Is it possible to get the sketch (the white lines) to work correctly with the Wall tool? Re: Constrain as currently laid out?

I would second sketching 1/4 of the shape with the polyline tool shown, then use a the Multitransform and Mirror tools.

Re: sketch: mirror and offset

superbem wrote: Tue Apr 09, 2024 11:01 am Trust me, the lines arent mirrored as you can see int the attatchment, yellow dot pick.

Also the offset should keep the original lines as we project it, then offset a side and close with lines, its more intuitive, at least should have that option.

Thanks
Seems ok for me...

Re: How to find "wire not closed" problems?

There is a lot of experience in it and you tried already some of the well known suspects. One more is: 1st step: count the elements in the list and in 3D view 2nd step: if there are too many elements in the list, walk over them and chek for invisibles (more likely) or doubles (less likely). Hey Chr...

Re: Merge lattice WB as a tool in PD

I just don't get it. Why would you complain about searching for things in multiple drawers, but not see that all the stuff from all the drawers in one draw as being worse...and certainly more intimidating for a new user. IF you find a tool from a particular workbench used regularly, you can easily a...

Re: Can I use layers in Freecad?

Does anyone know if it is possible to re-order the layers in the layer manager, or in the side tree? It looks like it is sorted Alphabetically, so one workaround would be to rename in the order I wish, but want to make sure I'm not missing something. Are you missing the recommendations of very seas...
