Re: Usability issue: unwanted deletion of objects from non-active document

This was actually already discussed in https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=20251 but I must have search with the wrong keywords and didn't find it. Anyway, it didn't catch much attention, so I this it's good to repeat.

Usability issue: unwanted deletion of objects from non-active document

There is a usability issue in FreeCAD that allows me to unfortunately delete an object from a non-active document. This is how you can reproduce it: - Have two documents - Activate doc1 and select an object, let's call it object1 - Activate doc2 by clicking on its tab and select an object in the 3D ...

Re: Macros used by addon manager (wiki vs github)

For sure, this is a possibility. My though was actually that the wiki pages not containing the code itself but a link to the code would be treated by AddonManager's Wiki browser almost the same way as the pages that do contain the code. The only part that would differ would be how to get the code bu...

Re: Macros used by addon manager (wiki vs github)

I could work on the Python side but I know hardly nothing about how the wiki works, so that someone would need to do the Wiki implementation first.

Re: Macros used by addon manager (wiki vs github)

Yes, this is wanted but we don't want Wiki vs. github, we need both. Some users prefer the Wiki (a Wiki page for each macro is a good thing to have in any case), some others prefer github.

Thanks for tackling this,

Il faut tourner le "Base-Body" qui est un enfant du "Job". Les axes ne sont pas inversés il y a seulement une rotation.

here is a case in which the deepcopy macro is adding extra objects
deepcopy-test.FCStd
The case is when there are more levels in Part structure
Thx
Maurice
Thanks for providing this simple example that allowed me to improve the code. A newer version of the macro was published.

Default to relative displacement in "Edit / Placement..."

Hi everyone, each time I use "Edit / Placement...", I happen to first click on "Apply incremental changes to object placement". I want to gather your opinion about having "Apply incremental changes to object placement" selected by default when the dialog opens. My opini...

Re: Possible Sketcher bug - says "fully constrained sketch" but it still has an infinite amount of solutions

Do we actually have a place where we can submit sketches where the solver fails? This could be used for unit testing. I have a second example of obviously failing sketch: make a horizontal line and make its two extremities symmetric with respect to the vertical axis --> no redundancy is reported. Gaël
