the macro is now on the official FreeCAD macro repository.

Not yet but macros on the repository are supposed to have a metadata ``__files__`` with the list of files to be copied along side the macro. The handling of macro metadata is not done yet at all but I'm thinking about adding it. For now it's better to have them in the FreeCAD-addons repo.

Where did you add it? As a macro, it would be sufficient to add it to the github repo to have it available via the Addon manager.

I think maybe it should be a Preferences option that documents not in focus are default collapsed or expanded per user choice. I generally prefer collapsed to avoid the clutter (and errors as chrisb says) but I just had to work on a model that needed several open documents that I needed to be expan...
