There seem to be increasing proliferation of automagic things in FreeCAD that are supposed to make thing easier for (usually new) user... Would it be desirable to have a wiki page listing all these things and how/where one could disable them? When some of us question the changes, we are told "....

.... There's already a fair amount of UI changes between the version of Freecad used in that video series, that it took some looking around to find the new places for various controls. that is one of the (many) reasons YT are not the best learning tool including my pet hate - YT guys not making it ...

I don't know what to do with your files/folders... I tried importing the XML file, didn't work... it probably doesn't matter, since unless you are running latest dev version of FreeCAD (like me) it is probably not going to work (see comment by jeno ) but for your education: 1-you are supposed to do...

what I meant is that it is not supported as a forum attachment, rather than it is not supported by FreeCAD.
Did you try the file I have attached?

I exported your body and it has created .3mf file (although mine for some reason was 225.3kb whereas yours was only 150.9kb). I have imported them both back into FreeCAD and both looked OK. Then I tried exporting by just selecting body tip and it resulted in a file of only 43.4kb When imported back ...
