Re: PR #4074 The section cut feature

realthunder's branch includes a split function that does exactly that, a permanent cut. The cutting element does not even need to be planar. You can select to activate one side of the split or the other.

Missing module `pyside2uic`

In src/Gui/WidgetFactory.cpp , PySideUicModule::loadUiType the module pyside2uic is used. This module is not provided by any package on Ubuntu 20.04. The command `form, widget = gui.PySideUic.loadUiType('relative_path_to_ui_file')` then fails. More details on https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-macro...

Re: pyside2uic, qtdesigner output, and FreeCAD

There are some instructions also on the official macro repository. If the instructions are not correct, please write an issue there or fix it in your own clone and ask for merge request. Thanks.

Re: Macro to find small bodys

My advise is that you record a macro, do the action manually and then modify the macro to run it through all objects. By the way, you can get the diagonal of bounding boxes with object.Shape.BoundBox.DiagonalLength in millimeters and the list of objects with App.ActiveDocument.Objects . The rest is ...

Re: 0.20 builds fail in freecad-daily PPA

It looks that there is also an issue with pthreads on Ubuntu 20.04.

Code: Select all

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lpthreads

Re: Feature idea: Non-zipped freecad project

realthunder's fork already has this feature (a bit differently because the format is different: it saves a separate xml file for each object).
