chrisb wrote: Fri Feb 23, 2018 1:47 pm What do you finally want to achieve?
You can attach a sketch on each face and redraw the outline using external geometry.
I want to loft two faces.
External geometry looks promising but the lines don't turn white

Request: measurement tool along specified axis

The measurement tool is hard to use because it is not along axis, so I am requesting that you can choose to measure along x, y or z axis.

Re: Request: Thick lines

is this what you want ? It´s parametric , size and width are steered by the 2 dimensions at the left .. Be sure to leave a GAP at the center to finally have concentric closed shapes.. 2018-02-22 13_40_40-FreeCAD.png Sketch : ( made using most current .17 Version ) Thanks for your effort! But it is ...

Re: Request: Thick lines

The pattern that I created is to be decoration, a pocket in a cement wall, so it needs to have a thickness. The pattern will continue along the whole wall, so there will be more than two circles. That sounds to me as if you should model only one of the circles and use a pattern afterwards. Part->Of...

Re: Request: Thick lines

Would you mind telling us what you want to achieve. We are looking at the details but I don't get the whole picture - which might affect the overall modeling. The pattern that I created is to be decoration, a pocket in a cement wall, so it needs to have a thickness. The pattern will continue along ...
