i'm still getting issues. the new mesh object ends up empty. i'll try the script again on a smaller file. maybe i should have indicated that the obj imports as 447 objects in freecad...

if you don't have an actual parametric font, the game changes completely. this is a machine vision and pattern recognition problem, which is quite challenging, if you want to do better than 32,000 lines. on something like this, i would recommend tracing it with a polyline. it's all lines and arcs, a...

I feel the same rush and tingle i felt when writing my very first matlab and autolisp scripts. text editor + command line is a drug. now to convert all my old povray text macros... who needs constraint solvers when you have linear algebra 8-) thank you so much for this beautiful tool. beats the pant...
