Re: can we set a default for export?

I have to agree there, you have to set an hard limit to backporting at one point. Critical fixes only at this point I would guess.
But I am really looking forward to 0.19 now. Great work guys!

Re: Flipped dimensions in Arch drawing

Thanks Vocx,

So it was already a known issue. Hopefully not too hard to remedy.

Regards,

Re: Flipped dimensions in Arch drawing

Hi Yorik,

I wasn't refering to the text size. But it is the discrepancy between the arrow orrientation of the techdraw vs the archview.
Some arrows are orriented differently, and I have no idea how to control that in the techdraw view.

Re: negative values in lock constraint

Thanks for the good discussion on my initial request! I'm learning a lot I understand that the sign of the value indicates the direction of the constraint. It would be beneficial to give the user power over this. Sometimes I don't care about the direction (most of the times I guess) Sometimes it is ...

Re: negative values in lock constraint

Hi Chris, I agree that stability is the most important priority. And I join you in hoping that the orientation is guaranteed by the constraint. I have many examples where the horizontal /vertical constraints don't have that and sketches flip because of that. I kind of fear this is the same for the l...

Re: Flipped dimensions in Arch drawing

Hi Yorik, Good to hear you are investigating. Too bad to hear it is more complex than expected. Seems like indeed you loose some information about the orientation in the creation of the dimension. Looks like the inherent problem is that a line is 1 dimensional, but when you include the label, sudden...

Re: negative values in lock constraint

Not sure I agree with you Chris. If I understand it correctly, the lock constraint just sets(locks) 2 distances between points. In that case it should behave the same as when I set a horizontal or vertical distance constraint. And a distance should not be negative. It doesn't have a meaning, without...

negative values in lock constraint

Hello all, This is not a major bug report, but a small improvement request for sketcher. When using the lock constraint it often starts with a negative value for a distance. Would it be possible to keep the values positive, it is just a cleaner representation. I know this is more a sketcher related ...

Re: can we set a default for export?

Hello all, Sorry for bringing this up to the top of the forum again. It is one of my itches in freecad:-) I reread this thread and long time ago (0.15 timeframe) wmayer created a commit to store the last used import/export settings. (git commit 4259a93) However this doesn't seem to work in present d...

Re: Flipped dimensions in Arch drawing

Hi Yorik, Great to hear you are onto something. Indeed that looks weird! While you are looking into this, please can you also look at the use case where you select a line and then press the dimension button in the toolbar. This way an dimension is created that has a dependency on the line. This is d...
