Re: Resources directory/folder for FC Macros?

The "convention" for macros is - ~/.FreeCAD/Macro/ | - Macro1.FCMacro | - Macro1.svg | - macro1/ | - resource | - dialog.ui | - macro1.py | - module1.py | - module2.py | Macro2.FCMacro The core algorithm should be in macro1/macro1.py , or any other Python file in the macro1 folder. The adv...

Re: Resources directory/folder for FC Macros?

The usual way to use temporary data is to use Python's tempfile module. I don't really see the point of having an organized temporary directory because, as its name states, it is temporary and the user usually don't look into it. Macros can already use a directory to store their files. This is even ...

Re: ViewProvider for (python) objects created in headless mode?

I also needed this for my csv2freecad script . The actual situation is that the generated objects (vertices) are hidden when I open the file in "normal" FreeCAD and I cannot change the values related to the view, for example the point size. Interestingly, the vertex objects have a Visibili...

Re: Ball-bearing yoyo designs

You could use a dynamic property to store the density (https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Release_not ... namespaces).

I guess you can also directly associate a material to a body but I never used this.

Re: Mnesarco Utils Extension Pack

I think you forgot to mention that your Add-on is called MnesarcoUtils . A personal remark. I tend to prefer the philosophy that each tool (or add-on) should fulfill one function but I fully understand that you don't want to publish many micro add-ons. Thanks for all the work you accomplish for Free...

Re: Feature: offset tool in sketcher

About the redundant constraints: for offset lines, there is a point-symmetry constraint and a point-on-line constraint for the end of the helper line. This is redundant because the point-symmetry already brings the point of the helper line on the offset line.

Re: Feature: offset tool in sketcher

The original macro includes many "green" comments (# comment). But macros published in the master must have only "white" comments (''' comment'''). Lines starting with '#' are comments. They have the role of describing the code to the developer. Strings following a line with &qu...

Bug "Display which parts of a sketch are fully constrained" can be marked as done with honour in v0.19.

Re: [Sketcher] Bug in passive diameter measurement for locked circle

I would also tend to b), otherwise most people would first be surprised that a blue "driven constraint" is created when they expect a normal constraint and secondly, they may not even think that it's possible to toggle to "driven constraint" to a normal one as the software decide...
