Re: Sweep, preview seems correct but final shape is incorrect

Good to know! Thanks, experts!

I solved the issue by moving Sketch004, the sketch generating the cylinder, by 90° about the z-axis.

Sweep, preview seems correct but final shape is incorrect

Dear all, I have a problem with the Sweep tool of the PartDesign Workbench. The shape seems correct in the "Edit pipe" context menu but when I click "OK" in this dialog, the obtained shape is incorrect. It appears that only the part of the shape which is within the support cylind...

Re: Vision_5, a new way to see your model.

To have your macro available in the Add-ons Manager, you can publish it to the official macro repository via a pull request. See instructions there. Do NOT publish it there if you don't accept that others "touch" your macro (you're supposed to be informed of any change done to it though, b...

Re: Workbench Versions

Wrt to packaging, I'd rather see preconfigured distributions/presets: For 3D printing enthusiasts For mechanical engineers For civil engineers For architects That is, the goal of versioning is to satisfy user needs by ensuring the compatibility of workbench sets. But since we don't have workbench s...

Re: Workbench Versions

This is probably an overkill but this could be done in the same manner as is done with ROS2 (https://index.ros.org/doc/ros2/) which is a package-based system with a meta-builder, colcon. Switching to such a system would require that the whole FreeCAD uses this system. Package metadata are written in...

Re: Hello Elektra

Sounds interesting but from a developer's point of view, which I am not. I express myself only because I have a question. I see that you need `sudo` to mount the configuration files. How would this integrate with a user-space configuration?

Re: Part Design, Crash in recent 0.19 (2020-05-25)

Yes, this is the correct file. What I wanted to do is actually modify something earlier in the tree. For this purpose, I changed the tip. I didn't want to delete the fillets because I wanted to record the radius values. Then I realized that the fillets don't make sense anymore so wanted to delete th...

Part Design, Crash in recent 0.19 (2020-05-25)

I discovered a crash. - Open the attached file crash.fcstd . - Load the Part Design Workbench - Select Fillet002 in the tree - Press the Delete key --> Crash! Note that there is no crash when you delete Fillet002 with the "Edit/Delete" menu. Gaël OS: Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS (i3/i3) Word size of...
