They look really good!
Thanks Enrico; if anyone thinks it's worthwhile I can upload the .FCStd files (or I can recreate them).

Re: Frequent crashes causing frustration

Uploading your model after you Pocket it would help diagnose the problem too.

==========Edit:
When you say
In the drafting workbench (the condensed version)
do you mean Sketcher? In FreeCAD change to the Sketcher Workbench and let us know...

Re: Frequent crashes causing frustration

In the drafting workbench (the condensed version): create an outline, close the sketch, (I think I change to the part design workbench here) turn the object into a pad select the face, create a new sketch of a large circle, placed inside the previous draw...

Most everything was done in the Part Design workbench with Sketches (Padding or Pocketing a Sketch) except I switched to the P...

Re: Forum migration

bejant started to make those and I thought it was a nice way to show something. And maybe a video takes out some of the mystery for new users. I started to make a few as well, and I think it took me less time than my regular written explanations with screen captures. That's another reason, in respo...

Re: "Hull" function & parameters in part design sketch?

What I ended up doing was a Boolean cut on a torus at the place I wanted to start the loft, then made a 2D projection. Cleaned up the projection and upgraded that to a Face. Removed the cut (could of / should of(?) left it in) then placed a duplicate of that face in the position I wanted to end the...

Re: Trouble maping sketch to face

Cory, FreeCAD has the capability to model the crankcase and the crankshaft, but your approach to modeling it was wrong, and also your model is mostly a bunch of separate pieces. I was going to go into detail of where you went wrong but it's quicker just to make a new model you can examine. Some of y...
