Re: How can I add edges (lines, curves, circles, etc) on an existing, non-planar surface?
Using the Map mode of the sketch is a little used tool that can make life a lot easier. Here I've mapped three different sketches: 1) to the edge of the sketch used to create the cone 2) to a Freehand BSpline attached to the top & bottom edges of the cone. 3) to a Freehand BSpline attached at a ...

Re: Modify a face
Thank you for your help! To be honest I was using Draft, Part Design and Part. I thought the draft workbench is the one that looks the most like AutoCAD. I was avoiding to use the sketch since we need to use a lot of constraint. You don't have to use lots of constraints. In fact, it is recommended ...

Re: Grid snap overrides auto constraint
I don't use grid AT ALL. But, this was brought to my attention in another media platform.
But, I agree, the constraint should take precedence.

Re: anoying lines in export
You could try this recently release slide show:
https://youtu.be/d8aTTsWH_V0
Note: it will only work if the faces creating the seam lines are co-planer.

Grid snap overrides auto constraint
It appears that if grid snap is on, attempts to make a small arc tosses a co-linear error...
Should not auto constraint take precedence?
Grid snap off, works ok. (grid snap off, works on Linux, apparently does not fix it on Windows...)

Re: Intersect elements in Sketcher?
The sketch as shown won't Pad/Pocket/etc. because it has T intersections and crossing lines.
It looks like it should use the Feature Pattern tools rather than repeating things in a single sketch.
As for the circle, it will be less fuss to use a separate sketch and Pocket.
