It makes perfect sense in Swedish, so the rest of the languages should be OK. ;)

Re: Tool shapes and parameters

There was a discussion on ramping a while ago and the use of a ramp angle parameter to mills in the tool table. An face mill can likely do some ramping, but at a shallow angle, while an end mill can go steeper.

Re: Files don't open after today's software update!

Unable to find any "settings" (do you mean edit ->preferences - if so, where is "default"?), so deleted ~/.FreeCAD/user.cfg as suggested. Still 100% CPU. :? I am using Swedish locale, but unable to find those settings in FreeCAD. Merely changing language does not seem to change t...

Re: Files don't open after today's software update!

*.stl files open nicely.
*.fcsd and *.step do not, if it is of any help.

Re: I want rustlers, cut throats, murderers, and methodists

If I choose a smaller face mill and select the lower step, the path becomes: Markering_010.png Using zero extension, it is possible to have the mill stay within the lower step. However, this is a face mill and they only have cutting inserts around the perimeter and are not able to mill vertically. T...

Re: I want rustlers, cut throats, murderers, and methodists

Aha, that explains a thing or two! I thought that the operations would refer to specific surfaces, not the entire part. Fixing that, I was able to create the facing operation for the top level. There is some "air milling", but it seems to do the job. However, I am unable to mill the lower ...

Re: I want rustlers, cut throats, murderers, and methodists

I am glad I am not an actor faced with having to say that line!  Her is a small example that refuses to accept a facing operation: Markering_008.png I tried following your example in the youtube tutorial, but it does not want to work on this part. Fine on cuboids, though. Cheers, /Chris
