Hello,
Very interesting topic !!!
There is a plugin which links freecad with Cura software based 3d printing machines,

All Tutorials are welcome!
I also use paraview for postprocessing and there are a huge options that I never use it.

Re: CalculiX results 'frd' to Paraview 'vtk' converter
I added just a batch file for win users who won't install visual studio express but needs a fresh build. Please take a look in editor before running ;) ccxfrd2vtk.zip How about this? It would run on any plattform: https://github.com/imirzov/ccx2paraview Oooh, wow! I will follow this thread.... a py...

Re: Von Mises Stress way too high
Woah! These figures are awesome! There is a huge improvement between FreeCAD 0.17 and 0.19 versions....
One question, FreeCAD 0.18 is stable for windows?

Re: [SOLVED] - Problems when loading calculix frd file
BTW, interesting geometry. What is this used for? Hello Bernd, I am using a simple nonsymmetric tetraedron mesh for understanding all calculix outputs in *.dat and *.frd files when performing frequency analyses. I am also analizing and modifiying the meshing (elements and nodes) using linear algebr...

[SOLVED] - Problems when loading calculix frd file
Hello, I have some problems when loading an .frd file in FreeCAD. I create a simple frequency simulation (free-free conditions). The mesh is done by netgen algorithm using first order tetrahedron elements (C3D4). In report view I check the following error: Traceback (most recent call last): File &qu...

Re: missing stress values Sxy, Syz, Szy
Hello! Be careful with the shear stresses. Sxy, Syz, Szy... Calculix .frd file contains stress components per node. Calculix .dat file contains stress components per element. But the order of them is different (different indexes...) ! This is discussed here... https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic....
