Axis doesn't like imperial units

Hello all, i've discovered that the Axis tool doesn't like imperial units at all. When entering imperial values it generates an error. OS: Windows 11 build 22631 Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.21.2.33771 (Git) Build type: Release Branch: releases/FreeCAD-0-21 Hash: b9bfa5c5507506e4515816414...

Wall Issue - Wall Not Generating

Hello all, I'm having trouble getting freecad to generate walls as it did before naturally. that is, draw a line and press wall tool, but for some reason it doesn't do that. I've restarted freecad serveral times and poked around but still not luck. Can't figure out what might be doing that. On the s...

Re: Can an Architect actually adopt FreeCAD?

Hello @TexWheela, Thank you for taking an interest in freecad. I thought maybe I can give you my general sense of things well based on my general experience. 1. if you come from a 2D workflow, implementing freecad is not straight forward as the mindset in thinking is very different. 2. Re: Usage optimisation for Arch and BIM

FreeCAD's been fun so far. It was a bit frustrating at first, but I got accustomed to the interface after watching several videos on it. I'm not convinced I'm using the program efficiently, so maybe you guys have some tips based upon what I want to do. I'm designing and going to build a house from ...

Re: New all-in-one Draft styling button

I think that's the way to go, the preference was becomming to cumbersome to always go there to change things, with this, with one change you are set to go. Thanks a bunch. It is always good to have users feedback on the workflow, especially those like you have built a numbers of models using FC :D ...

Re: New all-in-one Draft styling button

With 88f5fc20b1 the color, face color, line width and text width buttons on the Draft toolbar have now been condensed into one single button, which opens a task panel when pressed (like the Working Plane button). This gives us way more options and cleaner code, and the user doesn't need to go to th...
